The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s new 10-point diktat has finally been implemented amongst the Indian cricket team from Sunday, January 19 onwards. After the Indian cricket board had communicated of the 10-point guidelines last week, following their Review Meeting, BCCI have further put these guidelines forward with all state associations ahead of the much-awaited white-ball series against England.

In the latest move, it has been informed that none of the players will get separate vehicles and all have to travel in the team bus. This came into limelight after the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) arranged no separate vehicle for any Indian player and all were required to travel by the team bus.

Notably, the guideline is a part of the 10-point diktat that the board came out with following a debacle in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25. As per the SOP, “all players are required to stay for the entire duration of the scheduled practice sessions and travel together to and from the venue. This rule ensures commitment and fosters strong work ethic within the team.”

The CAB President Snehasish Ganguly also confirmed adhering to the policies. "In keeping with the BCCI's 10-point guidelines for players, the Cricket Association of Bengal has not arranged any separate means of conveyance [for individual players]. Only a team bus has been arranged for the Indian team. There won't be any personal vehicles for the cricketers. We have to follow the guidelines, which clearly state that all players are expected to travel with the team to and from matches and practice sessions,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.

The Men in Blue are all set to take on England in a white-ball series, starting Wednesday, January 22. The Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India will take on England in a five-match T20I series, followed by a three-match ODI series from February 6 onwards. While the first T20I is scheduled to be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, followed by a match each in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai.
