Just when Rohit Sharma and Co. were about to register a win, Ben Stokes-led men made a remarkable comeback in the game. In their second innings, and the third overall inning, England cricketers including Ollie Pope put on a terrific show with the bat. However, Pope nearly missed a double century but gave his side a 230-run lead in the game.

The Indian bowling unit consisting of big names like Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja seemed to have lost their momentum and continued to concede runs. It was combined with the poor efforts of fielders including KL Rahul, who dropped a key catch to help his counterparts take over the match. This sudden drop in the performance didn’t sit well with the fans and they slammed the team for the same, while a few others praised England's batting.

Here’s how the fans reacted:

England were knocked out at 420 runs in 102.1 overs with India needing 231 runs to win the opening Test.
