The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is mulling to make changes in their coaching staff after Bangladesh’s disappointing campaign at the ODI World Cup 2023. The reports come into picture after Bangladesh’s shocking defeat against Netherlands at the Eden Gardens on Saturday, October 28.

The Shakib Al Hasan-led side were handed their fifth straight defeat in the ODI World Cup 2023 as the Dutch registered a comfortable win by 87 runs. As a result of the same, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been mulling to make significant changes in the side’s coaching staff. As per the latest development, the BCB has revealed that head coach Chandiika Hathurusingha and assistant coach Nick Pothas will continue with the side and will not face the wrath.
However, the BCB source as reported by CricTracker stated that fast and spin bowling coaches Allan Donald and Rangana Herath will not be given a contract extension. Additionally, the Bangladesh team analyst, Srinivas Chandrasekaran will also leave the side, along with fielding coach Mc Dermott also under the radar.
Talking about Bangladesh’s campaign at the ODI World Cup 2023, the side’s one and only win has come against Afghanistan in the tournament opener. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side are currently in the bottom half of the points table with just two points to be only above England. They will next face Pakistan at the Eden Gardens on October 31.
