Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan registered a convincing win over Pakistan a they beat them with eight wickets in hand at the ongoing ICC Men’ Cricket World Cup 2023. The side post their second win took the sixth spot in the standings with Pakistan dropping to fifth place.

The win celebration did not end on the ground at the MA Chidambaram Stadium for the Afghans after their victory lap, they extended it to the team bus and even to the dining room. In the videos going viral, the Afghanistan players can be seen grooving to Chennai Express’ ‘Lungi Dance’ while on their way to their hotel. The video was shared by Wazhma Ayoubi, the famous Afghan fan girl, who is currently in India during the ODI World Cup 2023.
In another clip shared by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), the players can be seen banging the utensils while jumping and dancing to celebrate their eight-wicket win over Pakistan. The video was also shared on the cricket board’s X handle with the caption, “Here are the dining room celebrations and some @fazalfarooqi10 moves”.
The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side will next take on Sri Lanka on October 30 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, whereas their last match rivals, Pakistan will lock horns with South Africa in Chennai on October 27.
