The 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, which is underway in India from October 5 with the final scheduled to take place on November 19, has seen some rather one-sided games. While it was the reigning champions, England who fell against New Zealand on Day 1 of the CWC 2023 in Ahmedabad, Pakistan outgunned Netherlands while Bangladesh too registered a comprehensive win over Afghanistan.

As the day continued, South Africa also put up a massive score against Sri Lanka with maiden century in World Cup coming from Quinton de Kock’s bat and Rassie van der Dussen also scoring a 108 off 110 balls. However, all this rests at one end and the hosts, India will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
