ODI World Cup 2023: Shakib Al Hasan uses abusive words after dismissing Jonny Bairstow in ENG vs BAN; video goes viral

Reigning champions England are taking on Bangladesh at the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala. The Jos Buttler-led side had a brisk start after being invited to bat first on a tricky turf in Dharamsala.

The openers in Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan gave a much-needed start to the English side, both scoring their fifties before the England wicketkeeper-batter falling off Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan. Going into the 18 th  over, Shakib Al Hasan gave the much-needed wicket for this side in Bairstow who looked in fine touch. What unfolded was the skipper’s reaction post this dismissal.

The Bangladesh all-rounder was seen using abusive words soon after taking Bairstow’s wicket and celebrating with a loud roar. Video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.

Talking about the campaign so far for England and Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup 2023, while the reigning champions lost their opening match against New Zealand by nine wickets, Bangladesh enter this match on the back of a winning start.
