Veteran Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is celebrating his 35th birthday on February 5, 2025. A star pacer who used to great starts with the ball in the limited overs format and also turned out to be a crucial bowler in death overs. His discipline while bowling can be judged on the fact that he hasn’t bowled a single no-ball in his T20I career for India and bowled just one no-ball in his entire T20 career so far. 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was a part of the Indian team that won the Champions Trophy in 2013. Apart from that, he won the IPL title with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016, finishing as a leading wicket-taker of the season with 23 scalps in 17 matches. He also won the Purple Cap in IPL 2017 with 26 wickets in 14 matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played 21 Tests, 121 ODIs and 87 T20I matches for India taking 294 wickets in all three formats combined.

1. Zero no-ball in T20I cricket: Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes in the elite list of players who haven’t bowled a single no-ball in their entire career in T20I cricket. Bhuvneshwar has bowled a total number of 1791 balls in 87 matches of his T20I career taking 90 wickets. The right-arm is yet to bowl a no-ball after all these matches in the shortest format. 

2. Two-time Purple Cap winner in IPL:  Bhuvneshwar Kumar equals Dwayne Bravo and Harshal Patel to win most number of Purple Caps (award given for most number of wickets in an IPL season) in their IPL career. Bhuvneshwar has won the Purple Cap in 2016 and 2017 respectively. He is also the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the history of the tournament with 181 scalps in 176 matches so far.

3. 4th Highest wicket taker for India in T20Is: Bhuvneshwar comes third in the list of players to take most number of wickets for India in the T20I format. The right-arm pacer has taken 90 scalps from 87 matches in his T20I career so far.
