The game of cricket has become highly competitive and players don't miss out on any opportunity to up the standard of the game. With the matches getting more competitive and batters becoming less hesitant in opening their arms, the game demands some high standard of athleticism from fielders to stop valuable runs for their side.

We have already seen some outstanding fielding attempts taking place in franchise competitions like IPL, Big Bash League etc, and the same has been very well relayed to the international level. Pakistan's pacer Haris Rauf produced an excellent display of his athleticism during the first ODIs against West Indies.

Haris Rauf's brilliance in the field was evident during the 24th over of the first innings when Caribbean batter Shai Hope cut the ball of Shaheen Afridi towards the third man.

It was a confirmed boundary until Haris Rauf stunned everyone with his terrific piece of fielding as he made a full-length dive and picked the ball from one hand and immediately threw the ball towards the keeper's end. Even the commentators were surprised to see Haris Rauf's fielding and lauded the pacer for putting up a great display of his fitness and commitment to the game.

Watch Rauf's stunning effort here:

Shai Hope shone with the bat as he scored 127 off 134 balls to post 305/8 in 50 overs. In response to WI's 305, Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam brought the best out of him as he scored his 17th ODI century, and was well supported by half-centuries from Imam-Ul Haq (65 off 71) and Mohammad Rizwan (59 off 61) to go 1-0 up in three-match ODI series.
