After going down 0-2 in the three-match Test series, Shan Masood-led Pakistan are mulling to field some changes in their Playing XI for the Sydney Test. While the Men in Green lost the first Test by a massive margin of 360 runs, they lost the second by 79 runs. The two cricketing nations will now lock horns in the third and final Test, set to be played from January 3rd at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

However, a head of the final Test, the Men in Green are speaking of including 21-year-old uncapped opener Saim Ayub. He is likely to replace Imam-ul-Haq, who has been batting slow and has come under the scanners of the team management and even the fans. Speaking of Ayub, the young southpaw has played eight T20Is this year and is regarded as a specialist in this format with 14 First-Class games.
“He can be replaced by Saim Ayub for the last Test. From what I have seen, Imam-ul-Haq does not have any strokes. There are no run-scoring shots at all, Salman Butt said in a video on his YouTube channel. “The only shot he plays is the flick. He won’t go for the ball, considering that he struggled with short balls even in India,” he added.
Moreover, if Abrar also fails to regain fitness in time for the Sydney Test, Pakistan is likely to give chance to off-spinner Sajid Khan.
