Pakistan officials are preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025 matches as they are conducting a special drill to address the issue of spectators barging into the playing arena during matches. In recent years, it’s witnessed that ardent fans don’t hesitate to enter the playing field to meet their cricketing icons. However, it’s essential to keep emotions aside as these incidents act as interruptions during games.

Pakistan, who will host the multi-nation tournament along with Dubai, is emphasising on security of players, supporting staff, and spectators to make the marquee tournament a success. The sub-continent nation is hosting an International Cricket Council (ICC) tournament for the first time in 28 years as they last jointly hosted the World Cup 1996 with India and Sri Lanka, with the final between Sri Lanka and Australia played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are striving to hold the major event successfully as the board consistently gets trolled on social media sites for the miserable condition of grounds. However, the PCB claimed that the renovation of the iconic Gaddafi Stadium was completed within a record four months.

PCB tests facilities with the conduct of tri-series

Ahead of the mega ODI event, the PCB will conduct the ODI tri-series among Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. The competition will help the board to assess the concerns and remove the shortcomings that can hamper the successful organisation of the competition. The series will begin on February 8 with the clash between the home team and New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, while the final will be played on the 14th at Karachi’s National Stadium.

Team Pakistan, who have looked confident in the 50-over format recently, will look to gain confidence ahead of the distinguished tournament with their performance in this series. Under Mohammed Rizwan, the Men in Green won ODI series in overseas nations Australia and South Africa.
