Second Test match between Pakistan and Australia ended up in draw once again despite Pakistan getting bundled out for just 148 runs in their first innings. Australia initially winning the toss, opted to bat first and posted a big score of 556/9 on board. Aussies despite having 408 runs lead didn't enforce follow-on for Pakistan, and ended up setting a target of 506 runs for Pakistan in the fourth innings. Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan played brilliant innings for Pakistan and ensured to save the Test match for them.

Abdullah Shafique-Babar Azam's partnership gave a hope for Pakistan before the start of final day of 2nd Test match, while Rizwan-Babar Azam pair at one stage made Pakistan believe that they can go for the chase but unfortunately couldn't go for historic 500+ run target. However, their gritty knock helped them save a game in this Test series. Initially, Khawaja's 160 along with useful contributions from Steven Smith and Alex Carey helped Australia to post a huge score in 1st innings.
