On Saturday, August 10, the Indian golfers, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, finished their campaign outside the medal places in the women’s golf event at the Paris Olympics 2024. At the Le Golf National, Lydia Ko of New Zealand won the gold medal ahead of Esther Henseleit of Germany and Lin Xiyu of China, who had to settle for the silver and bronze medals respectively.

The round four of the women’s golf event at the Le Golf National was quite decent for Aditi Ashok earlier today, carding 4-under-par, but her poor showing in the third round with a 7-over-par card potentially cost her a medal. After four rounds of golf at the Paris Olympics 2024, the 26-year-old finished in joint 29th place with an overall 2-over-par card.

Her compatriot, Diksha Dagar, who was impressive with her performance in the first two rounds, carding 1-under-par, fell away drastically in the last two rounds of the competition. After carding 8-over-par a day ago, she could only end her Olympic campaign with a 6-over-par card, finishing in joint 49th place, carding 13-over-par overall.

Before going into the round four of the women’s golf event at the Le Golf National, Morgane Metraux of Switzerland was in a joint lead with Lydia Ko of New Zealand, both carding 9-under-par. But, the Swiss golfer had a day to forget in Paris, carding 7-over-par, to finish joint 18th place with an overall 2-under-par card.

Lydia Ko wasn’t quite at her best either in the round four, but she managed to card 1-under-par, to take home the gold medal, carding 10-under-par overall.
