The Indian subcontinent is currently seeing a lot of tensions after the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 innocent lives. In an aftermath of the same, the Indian government along with the defence forces conducted a precision strike on May 7. With a sudden shift which left everyone in shock, the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) is also been put under doubt.

However, sources close to the developments have confirmed that the IPL 2025 will be played as per the schedule, reports have revealed that the match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and former champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) have been rescheduled due to security concerns.

As per recent reports, as quoted by India Today, the upcoming match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, scheduled to be played on Thursday, May 8 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala is indoubt and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is awaiting a clearance from the government.

It is to be noted that after the late night strike, the Indian government has shut down a few airports in the northern part of India, including the ones in Dharamsala and Chandigarh. With restrictions put on travel until further notice, it is to be seen if the game will go as planned as a BCCI source earlier stated, “ BCCI is monitoring the situation and depending on circumstances, a call will be taken. For now, the IPL will run as per schedule.”
