With the Golf US Open 2023 kicking off at the Los Angeles Country Club, American Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has got herself in a controversy involving a fake social media account. Paige Spiranac has emerged as one of the biggest influencers around Golf and hence received a lot of popularity for her social media page.
But recently, Paige Spiranac took to Twitter to reveal that a tweet posted from a fake account has been making the rounds on the internet which stated that she will go topless if American Golfer Rickie Fowler wins the major trophy. Clearing out this rumour, she tweeted about how her DMs have been flooded with questions regarding the tweet and refuted taking any such step. Further, she stated that despite the fake tweet, she has picked Paige Spiranac as her favourite.

The tweet said, “A meme account posted a fake tweet a while ago and now people are blowing up my DMs! This is not true so don’t get your hopes up. But I did pick Rickie as a long shot so at least I have that going for me lol”

Talking about Rickie Fowler, the 34-year-old had 10 birdies in a US Open record round of 62 on Thursday. Later Xander Schauffele matched it minutes later as the pair shared the first-round lead. After missing the past two US Opens, Fowler overcame two bogeys in his eight-under-par push to surpass the previous tournament record low round of 63, first set by Johnny Miller at Oakmont in 1973. “I knew it was close, I wasn’t sure of the exact number,” Fowler said reacting to the low-round record. “I just tried to keep moving forward.”
