The Pro Kabaddi League is set to return with its 12th edition soon in 2025. Ahead of the upcoming season, all the 12 teams tried to form the best squad in the PKL 2025 auction that took place on May 31 and June 1 this year. One of the teams to look out for in the upcoming season of the Pro Kabaddi League will be Bengaluru Bulls.

Bengaluru bulls Squad Overview

Bengaluru Bulls had a disastrous season last year where they finished 12th in the points table with just two wins in 22 matches. Now, the 2018 champions will be looking to move on from the forgettable season in 2024 and get back to their glory days by winning their second PKL title this year. Bengaluru made some tough decisions this year as they released star players like Pardeep Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, Jai Bhagwan, Nitin Rawal, and Parteek. Apart from that, Bengaluru also let go of their head coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat with BC Ramesh taking over the role for the upcoming season.

Bengaluru Bulls formed a new looking squad for PKL season 12 and spent INR 4.949 crore at the auction for 15 players. It will be interesting to see how the season goes for them in 2025. Keeping this in mind, let’s have a look at the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) for Bengaluru Bulls ahead of PKL 2025.

Bengaluru Bull SWOT Analysis:

Strengths

The Bengaluru Bulls have invested heavily to form a strong defense in Pro Kabaddi League season 12 in 2025. Now, the Bulls will mostly rely on their defense to have a successful campaign this year. They have picked right corner Yogesh Dahiya in their squad for a whopping INR 1.125 crore in the auction. Dahiya has been one of the mosot consistent defenders in the last two PKL season and has earned 149 tackle points in 45 matches.

Apart from that, Bengaluru Bulls also roped in players liike Ankush Rathee, Lucky Kumar, Deepak S , Shubham Rahate , Manish and Satyappa Matti , Sanjay Dhull f and Dheeraj in their squad making them a formidable side in defense.

Weaknesses

As Bengaluru Bulls invested mostly in their defense, their attack seems to be a bit weak on paper. They already retained their raiders like Pankaj and Manjeet ahead of the auction and roped in players like Aashish Malik, Aakash Shinde, Pirati Srisivatejesh, Ganesha B. Hanamantagol, Shubham Bitake and Mahipal.

Although, Bengaluru Bulls’ attack doesn’t lack any talent, it still lacks experience and their raiders will be having a pressure to perform at a big stage like the Pro Kabaddi League.

Opportunities

Bengaluru Bulls are one-time PKL champions and reached the playoffs on six occasions in the last 11 seasons. However, they didn’t look like a side to be reckoned with in PKL season 10 and 11 as they faced group stage exit on both occasions. Now, coming to change their fortunes, the Bulls will look to have a memorable season with a new squad under a new head coach BC Ramesh.

Having won the PKL title two times as head coach, BC Ramesh will bring immense confidence in the dressing room and can also share his insights with the players that could help Bengaluru to become a champions side this year. Apart from that, Bengaluru also roped in , Akash Shinde for INR 53.10 lakh who is coming after notching up 296 raid points in 57 PKL matches. His inclusion will provide more strength to Bengaluru Bulls’ attack in the upcoming season.

Threats

After releasing players like Pardeep Narwal and Nitin Rawal, Bengaluru Bulls are left without a strong and experienced leader for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League season. Although, there are many talented players in the squad the lack of leadership can turn out to be dangerous in crunch situations which could also define Bengaluru Bulls’ season.

Apart from that leadership, Bengaluru Bulls also lack experience in their attack and mostly dependent on their defense for the upcoming season. In attack, Akash Shinde will be a key players for Bengaluru and over dependence on a single players could hamper their playoffs chances this year.
