While both teams are coming into this fixture with a similar result, it serves as a crucial match seeing the team enter the do-or-die zone.
For the unversed, Deepti Sharma-led UP Warriorz won the toss and elected to field first. After taking the crease, opener Beth Mooney showcased her class as she played a gritty knock of 96* off 59 deliveries to help the side put up a competitve total on the board. The Australian batter during her 96-run stay, smashed 17 fours at a strike rate of 162.71.
Harleen Deol also plays a fighting knock of 45 vs UP Warriorz
Apart from Beth Mooney, Indian all-rounder Harleen Deol also played a crucial knock of 45 runs, missing a half-century by just five runs. During her 32-ball stay in the middle, Deol smashed six boundaries at a strike rate of 140.62. At the end, the Giants could post 186 runs at the loss of five wickets with Mooney top-scoring with an unbeaten 96.
For the Warriorz, Sophie Ecclestone picked up two wickets in her four-over spell, whereas Chinelle Henry, Deepti Sharma and Kranti Goud got a wicket each to their name.
Currently placed third on the points table, UP Warriorz will once again take the field on Thursday, March 6 as they take on Mumbai Indians Women at Ekana Cricket Stadium, the Giants will take the field the following day as they are scheduled to face Delhi Capitals Women in Lucknow.
