On Friday, August 15, the Northern Superchargers registered their third win in the ongoing The Hundred Men’s 2025 edition. The Harry Brook-led side, who were coming after a three-wicket win over the Southern Brave in their previous match, went on to continue their domination in the 100-ball tournament, registering 36-run win over the Birmingham Phoenix at the Headingley, Leeds.

For the unversed, the Liam Livingstone-led side won the toss and elected to bowl first. After being put to bat first, on the back of a powerful striking from the top quartet, the Superchargers posted 193 runs at the loss of five wickets. While Zak Crawley played a 23-ball 45, Dawid Malan scored 58 off 34 balls. Michael Pepper and Harry Brook also played key knocks of 28 and unbeaten 31 respectively.

During Harry Brook’s 14-ball unbeaten 31-run knock in the game, the England white-ball skipper was seen bringing his best game forward. While on the crease, Brook also hit a brilliant scoop shot, leaving everyone in the stadium amused by his style of play. The England batter got down on one knee and fell over on his back, leaving the commentators also in awe, videos of which have been surfacing on the internet.

The shot came off Tim Southee’s over with the Kiwi pacer sending a full length delivery. As Brook was on strike for the first time with Superchargers still having 27 deliveries in the innings, he went down on his knee to send the ball over the fine leg for a boundary.

After putting 194-run target on the board, the Harry Brook led side defended their total and registered a convincing win to get to the top of the points table. The Northern Superchargers will once again return to the field on Sunday, August 17, where they will play Manchester Originals at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
