On Sunday, April 27, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) etched their name in record books as they became the first team in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to win six games on the bounce away from home. The Rajat Patidar-led side, who came into this fixture on the back of an 11-run win against RR, defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets to get their seventh win this season and claim the top spot in the points table.
With the ball, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who picked three wickets in his four-over spell, along with two wickets to Josh Hazlewood and a wicke apiece to the name of Yash Dayal and Krunal Pandya. Thereafter, in the run-chase, fifty-plus scores from the bats of RCB opener Virat Kohli and all-rounder Krunal Pandya helped the side to a comfortable win with nine balls to spare.

The Indian all-rounder, krunal pandya proved to be the star of the evening for RCB, smashing an unbeaten 73 off 47 deliveries. While it was Krunal’s first fifty-plus score in the IPL since his debut season in 2016, making it even more special. Moreover, the RCB star player delivered a miserly spell of left arm, picking a wicket in his four-over spell while conceding 28 runs at an economy of 7.
Furthermore, with his 47-ball stay in the middle, Krunal also stitched a 119-run partnership with Kohli, the highest for RCB for any wicket and the highest for fourth wicket or lower by any team in IPL 2025. With a comfortable win which saw them chase the total in 18.3 overs, RCB climed up to the top of the points table with seven wins from ten games.
