
Pakistan registered an impressive win in the first Test against West Indies by 127 runs at the Multan Cricket Stadium, to take a lead of 1-0 in a two-match Test series. For Pakistan, offspinner Sajid Khan who took four wickets in the first innings before registering figures of 5/50 in the second innings as Pakistan dominated West Indies throughout the Test match. He was adjudged player of the match for his tremendous bowling performance, taking nine wickets in the contest.
Along with Sajid Khan, Abrar Ahmed also shone with the figures of 4/27 in the West Indies second innings as Pakistan defeated West Indies on the third day of the Test match. Talking about the match, batting first, Pakistan were bowled out for 230 runs in the first innings. Saud Shakeel was the top scorer with 84(157) runs hitting six boundaries, while Mohammad Rizwan scored 71(133) runs with nine boundaries. For West Indies, Jomel Warrican and Jayden Seales took three scalps each. Apart from that, Kevin Sinclair scalped two wickets, while Gudakesh Motie put one in his bag.

In reply to Pakistan’s 230 runs, West Indies were bowled out for 137 runs as the hosts took a lead of 93 runs in the first innings. For Pakistan, Noman Ali registered figures of 5/39, while Sajid Khan scalped four and Arbar Ahmed put one in his bag. After that, skipper Shan Masood played a captain’s knock of 52(70) runs with two fours and as many sixes as Pakistan were bowled out for 157 runs in their second innings, giving West Indies a target of 251 runs to win.
Chasing the winning target, Alick Athanaze turned out to be a lone warrior for the visitors with 55(68) runs as rest of the other batters failed to play a big knock. At last, West Indies were bowled out for 123 runs as Pakistan took a lead of 1-0 in a two-match Test series.
