Rusk Media, a pioneering full-stack Gen Z first digital entertainment company is back with another gaming IP-the Playground Exhibition Cup (PGEC) 2023. It comes following the success of Playground 2 which garnered more than 100mn reach, average time of 80 min spent per viewer, and 125k peak occurrence. The tournament which is powered by Duolingo will bring India’s top content creators on a single platform. In this article, we have covered all the details that one should know about the forthcoming e-tournament.

The tournament aims to unite all gaming enthusiasts and showcase the best gamers in the industry. The PGEC 2023 marks the grand opening of the Playground eSports League as well as an exhilarating Playground Season 3. Mayank Yadav, the CEO of Rusk Media said, "We are thrilled to announce the Playground Exhibition Cup 2023 which is an effort to redefine competitive gaming tournaments in the country."

Playground Exhibition Cup 2023- Squads

The forthcoming tournament features six teams, with five of them hailing from Playground 2. These teams are: 

The Dare Dragons:  It will be mentored by Carry Minati and captained by Jay Khatri. Other squad members are Chirag Nangru aka Pingu, Manush aka Drop, and Noopor aka Alexa.

AAA Werewolves:  Triggered Insaan will mentor the team whereas it will be led by Vanshaj Singh. The other members of this squad include names like Abhinav Shukla, Priyanka aka Alexa, and Gaurav Singh aka BT Android.

Power Phoenixes:  The Phoenixes are set to be mentored by Harsh Beniwal, and captained by Harshit Kashyap aka Kanary. Kunal aka Chumma, Aman Dubey aka Android Gamer, and Dolly Sadana aka Senorita are the other players of the team.

OP Unicorns:  Scout is here to guide the team whereas it will be led by Harshit aka Gunshot. The remaining players of this team are Abhishek aka IQ Master, Aditya aka Bullet, and Shikha Kashyap aka Shiny Kash.

KO Krakens:  Famous YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani will be mentoring the Krakens who will be led by Nikhil aka Bloodline. Apart from them, names that are a part of the KO Krakens team are Anirudh Sharma, Shantanu aka ShanN, and Mukti Asin.

Raging Centaurs:  Mortal will mentor the team and its captain will be Raviraj aka Sunlord. Other names of the squad are Parag Gaur aka PG207, Akhil aka Spark, and Madhuja. 

Playground Exhibition Cup 2023- Prize Money and Schedule

The tournament offers a prize pool of up to INR 25 lakhs with the Player MVP Prize Money to be INR 5 lakh. The winners and runner-up teams will receive INR 10 lakh and INR 5 lakh, respectively. Some of the partners of the upcoming tournament are Duolingo, Bombay Shaving Company, Ease My Trip, and Rumble. The tournament will be streamed on the YouTube channel of Playground, and fans will be treated to an immersive gaming experience from June 9 to June 25, at 6:30 pm, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
