Former India international and commentator, Irfan Pathan, was singing praises of the Indian team and their all-rounders in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh. Playing in Pune, the Men in Blue didn't start well with the ball as the Bangladeshi top-order with a 93-run partnership.

But soon after Kuldeep Yadav's wicket, Ravindra Jadeja got to work and picked up two quick wickets. Similarly, Shardul Thakur, after conceding a few extra runs in the early stage of the innings, had a few economical overs to pull back the free-flowing Bangladeshi batting.
Appreciating these performances, Irfan Pathan described the Indian team as having 13 players instead of 11 in the middle. While commentating on the India-Bangladesh World Cup game, Pathan said, " It looks like India is playing with 13 players and not 11 on the field, that's how good all-rounders have been."

Irfan Pathan also praised KL Rahul for his stunning catch to dismiss Mehidy Hasan Miraz at a score of three runs. Facing Mohd. Siraj, Miraz glanced at a ball on the leg stump which rapidly travelled towards the fine leg boundary. Here Rahul put in a full-stretch dive and completed a one-handed stunner to get a crucial wicket.
Describing this effort, Irfan Pathan compared KL Rahul to a flying arrow for his incredible diving catch. While commentating, Pathan called the Indian wicket-keeper " KL Udta Teer Rahul " .
