Pokemon United India Open 2022, biggest esports tournament in the country, is currently underway in Mumbai and has reached to its business end. The National Playoffs stage, featuring the top 14 teams is set to take place on LAN as part of the Skysports Championship 4.0 in Mumbai.
The 14 teams in the National Playoffs consist of eight direct invites and six qualified teams that have won their respective zonal finals.
“We are thrilled to be working with The Pokemon Company to bring the biggest esports IP for Pokemon UNITE in the country, the India Open 2022. We are working to make Pokemon UNITE a household title for Indian audiences and families," Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, said earlier.
"The zonal-based format will ensure maximum regional penetration and will boost participation from the grassroots level as we look to grow and support the game in the country,” he added.

Teams:
All the teams had to enroll themselves among the following six zones-: South, North, East, West, Central and North East. The winners of these zones were decided during the Zonal Finals and are as follows-:
South Zone - Zeher Team
North Zone - Pride Officials
East Zone - Hyderabad Hydras
West Zone - Ryzen Esports
Central Zone - FS Esports
Northeast Zone - Six Uppermoon
