He keeps dealing with boundaries: Warner

The Mumbai-born batter is currently playing in the Indian Premier League for the Delhi Capitals where has scored 259 runs in nine games with an average of  28.78  and a strike rate of 159.88. Along with Australian batter David Warner, Shaw has formed one of the most dominant opening partnerships in the tournament so far. Addressing their success, Warner has praised his Indian partner and complimented his boundary hitting ability.

While talking to Star Sports, Warner said, “I am absolutely loving it (opening innings with Shaw). Look how fast his hands are and his eyes are incredible. He’s taken my quick twos out of the equation because he keeps dealing with boundaries. It’s good that I don’t have to run too much.”

“Well, he sets the tone for us from ball one. In this format, it is very rare to see two guys go off, so that’s something we keep at the back of our minds i.e. to keep playing positive and to the best of our abilities,” he added.
