The popular mobile battle royale title by Tencent and Krafton, PUBG Mobile, has released its own music label named Beat Drop. The makers of the battle royale game aim to unite the world of gaming and music with this new label. The label is available on almost all the major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Amazon Music, iTunes, and more by the name ‘PUBG MOBILE OFFICIAL.’

Beat Drop will offer music and music-related content for all gamers across the globe. The game's new music label aims to spotlight upcoming artists worldwide, produce music tracks with established icons, and provide players with songs to heighten their gaming experience. As a part of this new initiative, PUBG Mobile has already announced a collaboration with Mariana BO, a Mexican musician and producer. This collaboration will soon bring a special remix for Beat Drop. However, it did not reveal the release date of the remix.

The name ‘Beat Drop’ for the music label has been derived from a part of electronic dance music (EDM), where a sudden change of rhythm or bass line occurs, which is preceded by a build-up section and break. Furthermore, it is also a reference to the PUBG Mobile’s in-game “Airdrop,” which is a highly contested crate drop from the airplane that brings arms and ammunition for players.

This is not the first time PUBG Mobile has shown interest in collaborating with artists. Prior to this, the makers collaborated with multiple music artists, including Alan Walker and BLACKPINK, as well as the popular children’s song Baby Shark.

As a part of the PUBG Mobile x BLACKPINK collaboration, it hosted an in-game concert called ‘The Virtual,’ where BLACKPINK debuted their single track ‘Ready For Love.’ This collaboration was a massive success and was watched by over 15.7 million viewers globally across the concert series. This virtual concert ended up winning the Best Metaverse Performance at the MTV Video Music Award (VMA).
