Two-time Olympic medallist and ace Indian shuttler, PV Sindhu once again hogged the limelight after being named as one of the top paid female athletes of 2023. The ace Indian athlete, who has been out of action due to sore left knee, equalled American gymnast Simone Biles as the 16th highest paid athlete in 2023 by Forbes.
Furthermore, Sindhu is the only shuttler and Indian athlete in the list of top 20 female athletes released by the American business magazine. The Indian have estimate earning of INR 60 Crore (USD 7.1 Million), equalling seven-time Olympic medallist Simone Biles.
The Forbes list is dominated by tennis players with Iga Swiatek leading the charts, who earned around USD23.9 million in 2023. Moreover, apart from 11 tennis stars featuring in the list, others included players from golf, soccer, badminton, basketball, gymnastics and freestyle.
