The Indian cricket team will reportedly have a new coaching staff for the upcoming three-match ODI series versus South Africa with the current head coach Rahul Dravid to oversee their three-day First Class match from December 20 to 22 instead. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) staff will prepare the Indian players to compete against South Africa in the ODI series.

As per the report from Cricbuzz, Sitanshu Ratra of the NCA will take over the head coach role from Rahul Dravid for India’s three ODI matches in the Rainbow Nation. Ajay Ratra will be serving as the fielding coach, while Rajib Dutta will fulfil the responsibility of the bowling coach.

Moreover, in the build-up to the first ODI of the three-match series against South Africa, set to be played on December 17, the Indian cricket team conducted a rigorous training session at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Some of the Indian players including the captain KL Rahul, Axar Patel, and Yuzvendra Chahal, who weren’t part of the recently concluded 1-1 T20I series versus South Africa, took part in the training session.

The second ODI between India and South Africa will be played at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on December 19, while the third and final ODI will happen just two days later at Boland Park in Paarl.
