The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is all set to finally open in January 2024. January 22 has been confirmed as the date for consecration, also known as pran pratisththa ceremony of the idol of deity, Lord Ram at the temple. While the proceedings will be done with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath in attendance, the invitation has been extended further to around 8000 dignitaries.
According to reports, in the 8000 dignitaries invited for the consecration by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, former India captain Virat Kohli and ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar are also there. As per a report in The Print, the two cricketing giants from India will be there in attendance alongside some saints, priests, religious leaders, Bollywood celebrities, civil servants, defence personnel , etc.
It is to be noted that Sachin Tendulkar was also there during the stone laying ceremony of an upcoming stadium in Varanasi in September this year. Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar were also invited for the ceremony but their invitation for the Ram Temple inauguration is not confirmed yet.
However, it is to be seen whether the Indian star batter, Virat Kohli will be able to make it at the event or not is not known yet as India will take on England at home in a Test series, starting January 25.
