Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly interested to join Serie A giants Juventus instead of Newcastle United during the ongoing summer transfer window, as reported by TEAMTalk. Newcastle's current top priority is to sign the 26-year old striker from France and want to upgrade their options in the position after letting go RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. Magpies are not just keen to sign Muani, but his teammate Goncalo Ramos, Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins and Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson. Meanwhile, PSG are placing a demand of €60 million for Kolo Muani, with a loan arrangement set to include a purchase obligation of €45–50 million, and the balance covered by the loan fee.

It is understood that Juventus are in the initial agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Kolo Muani’s return after he spent the latter half of last season on loan in Turin, as revealed by Gazzetta dello Sport. The deal under discussion involves a €10 million loan, with an option to buy in 2026 for €30–35 million on easily attainable conditions. However, the transfer is currently on hold as Juve must finalize at least one player sale to fund the loan fee, with Fabio Miretti, Nicolo Savona, Lloyd Kelly, and Douglas Luiz among the potential departures.

Kolo Muani's big impact on Juventus, but short fall with PSG

During his brief spell at Juventus last season, French forward Kolo Muani scored 10 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions. His speed and skilled finishing provided the Bianconeri with a dependable attacking threat, convincing the club to seek a permanent deal. The 25-year-old relished his six months in Turin and is eager to rejoin his teammates while cementing his place as a central figure in the club’s new project.

However, Muani's contribution towards PSG has been short after getting purchased from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023. He was highly sought-after following an impressive stint in Germany, attracting interest from several top European clubs. However, his first 18 months at Parc des Princes fell short of expectations, leading to a loan move to Juventus earlier this year.

Now, Newcastle United need to work hard to sign the deal with the French international, even though he sides with his move to Juventus.
