Jasprit Bumrah who is currently regarded as the best bowler in the world. He is known for his fiery spells and economical bowling setting the batters in frustration with his change in lengths and unplayable deliveries which successfully makes him stand out from the rest of the bowlers. India are really lucky to have Jasprit Bumrah playing for their team.
In the recent video on his YouTube channel Ravichandran Ashwin expressed his feelings about Bumrah, stating that, as per NDTV Sports, "He is not a believer in marketing a particular player, but he can't help but adore Jasprit Bumrah's skills, one of the greatest to have played in his era." Ashwin had no hesitation in placing Bumrah above many Indian batters when he was asked about the player’s contribution to the Indian cricket team.

Ravichandran Ashwin mentioned that Bumrah doesn't get the same admiration as Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. By this statement, Ashwin simply meant to explain that Bumrah adds just as much as value to the team like Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli, but is not regarded at the level as them due to being a bowler. Ashwin also states that Bumrah is still respected a lot more than many bowlers in the country due to his ability to turn the game around on his own and win the match for the team with his extraordinary bowling.
Ravichandran Ashwin was quoted as saying, "I really wish that we go that route (In giving Bumrah the same respect as Tendulkar and Kohli). I am still saying that as much as we do for Rohit Sharma, or Virat Kohli, or Sachin Tendulkar, we don't do the same for Jassi."
Talking about Jassi’s bowling in the first Test against England, Ravichandran Ashwin said, “He is on a different pedestal. He is in a different world. And the problem is, it's not about the uniqueness of his action. It is about the quality of execution”. Further in the video, Ashwin also stated that some of the balls which Bumrah bowled in the first test would be impossible for any other bowler in the world to execute so crisply. Ashwin firmly believes that Bumrah is a legend of the Indian cricket team and that the team is blessed to have a player like him.
