Luka Doncic has given Los Angeles Lakers fans a glimpse of the chemistry developing within the team after sharing a memorable “First Supper” photo on social media. The picture brought together several key members of the Lakers’ current group, giving fans an early look at the players who will be expected to push the team forward in the new season. Doncic’s post quickly caught attention because of the relaxed setting and the sense of togetherness it showed away from the court.

The Slovenian star has been at the centre of the Lakers’ plans since his blockbuster arrival from the Dallas Mavericks. The latest photo offered another reminder of how much the team has changed around him. The Lakers have added fresh faces while retaining important pieces, creating plenty of excitement ahead of the new campaign. For Doncic, moments like this can be just as important as the work done during training, especially for a group that needs to build trust and understanding. The “First Supper” image also gave fans something fun to talk about before the serious business of the season begins. With expectations high in Los Angeles, the focus will soon shift from photographs and introductions to whether this group can turn its off-court bond into success on the basketball court.

“Jonathan Kuminga landing with the Los Angeles Lakers seems inevitable at this point”: Reports

The Los Angeles Lakers’ pursuit of Jonathan Kuminga has taken a significant turn, with the 23-year-old forward’s options appearing to narrow after the Cleveland Cavaliers moved in a different direction. The Cavaliers had been among the teams still interested in Kuminga, alongside the Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves, but their decision to acquire Peyton Watson in a three-team trade with the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets seemingly removed one of his major alternatives.

“Jonathan Kuminga landing with the Los Angeles Lakers seems inevitable at this point,” Martinez wrote. “On Tuesday, it appeared Kuminga had three suitors remaining in his free-agent sweepstakes: the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Lakers. And on Wednesday, the Cavaliers seemingly took themselves out of contention by instead acquiring Peyton Watson in a three-team trade with the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets.” The Lakers have reportedly remained interested throughout the summer, although a financial gap has prevented an agreement. The team initially offered around $10 million annually, while Kuminga’s camp sought roughly twice that figure. A sign-and-trade with Atlanta remains another possible route. Minnesota can offer only a $6 million taxpayer mid-level exception, further strengthening Los Angeles’ position. With the Lakers still looking for a versatile wing defender, Kuminga could fill an obvious need, but his contract expectations remain the biggest hurdle.
