While the visitors were reported to be looking at Axar Patel’s bowling footage, they have also roped in Indian bowler named Mahesh Pithiya for practice. Video of the same surfaced on Friday (3 February) in which he can be seen replicating Indian off-spinner and veteran Ravichandran Ashwin.

As reported by Cricbuzz, Mahesh Pithiya who is often reckoned as Ashwin’s duplicate made his first-class debut for Baroda in December. His action also resembles to that of the Indian veteran. A journalist was quoted stating, “Mahesh Pithiya grew up being called “Ashwin” owing to his uncanny impersonation of his idol @ashwinravi99”.
