Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant shared two cryptic stories on his Instagram after an 8-wicket loss in the first Test against New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. India lost a Test match against New Zealand at home after 36 years as the visitors took a 1-0 in a three-match Test series. Despite the loss, Rishabh Pant was one of the top performers for India in the Bengaluru Test. After bowling India out for just 46 runs, New Zealand posted 402 runs taking a 356-run lead in the first innings.

However, India surpassed the 356-run deficit in the second innings with Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant giving the hosts a ray of hope with a partnership of 177 runs, Sarfaraz shone with 150(195) runs, while Pant fell short of just 1 runs for his century as the wicketkeeper batter got out after scoring 99(105) runs. In the end, India were bowled out for 462 runs giving New Zealand a target of 107. The Kiwis chased the winning total comfortably by losing two wickets on day 5.

After the match, Rishabh Pant shared two stories on his Instagram account. In his first story, Pant shared a quote which said, “Believe in your vision, even when others can’t see it. Your belief is the seed of your future success.” In his second story, the quote stated “Sometimes it's best to just be quiet and let God show people."

The fans started making several assumptions on Rishabh Pant Insta stories, some fans believe that he was taking a dig at the India skipper Rohit Sharma who has been facing lots of criticism for his decisions in the first Test. On the other hand, some  fans also speculated that Pant shared this story for his IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) as there are rumours going that DC might not retain him ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction.
