On Sunday, July 27, the much-anticipated fourth Test of the five-match series concluded in a draw at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. While the match had its ebbs and flows, Team India also fought hard until the final hour, getting a draw in the fourth Test despite England dominating in majority of the sessions across the five days.
Among all of them, the injury concerns mounted on the Indian team as Rishabh Pant, who was seen struggling with a finger injury during the Lord’s Test, suffered a fracture in foot on the opening day in Manchester and has been ruled out of the final Test, which is set to be played from July 31 at the Kia Oval in London. However, the Indian team management has called in Narayan Jagadeesan as his replacement.
