Indian wicket-keeping batter Rishabh Pant is likely to be a part of Delhi Capitals’ 4-day training camp in Kolkata ahead of the IPL 2024. Pant survived a fatal car accident in December 2022, and has been out of action since then. The cricketer is under the supervision of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and has been sweating it out in intense training sessions to get back into shape as early as possible.
As per a report by ABP Ananda, Pant is expected to be a part of the 4-day training camp of his IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals in Kolkata ahead of the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League. The camp will take place at the Jadavpur University campus, which is in Kolkata’s Salt Lake instead of the Eden Gardens as it will be hosting two remaining matches for the 2023 season of the ODI World Cup.
The report added that Pant will participate from November 9 in the camp that began on November 8. As per the reports, the Director of Cricket of Delhi, Sourav Ganguly and coach Ricky Ponting will be present at the camp, and they will assess Pant’s performance.
Earlier, the DDCA confirmed that Pant will be available for the Vijay Hazare Trophy knockout matches. His performance will be then taken into consideration for the upcoming tournaments and matches.
