RJ Mahvash has posted an Instagram story for Yuzvendra Chahal following his magnificent bowling performance for Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Defending a low score of 111, Punjab witnessed the courageous side of Chahal, who clinched 4/28 figures in his four-over spell and guided the team to a 16-run win. Chasing the score, when KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi were taking the game away from Punjab after stitching a 55-run stand off just 38 balls, Chahal broke into the scene and got rid of both batters. Following the departure of both players, Kolkata never looked settled in the game and surrendered on 95 in 15.1 overs. Chahal got the player of the match (POTM) award for his incredible bowling.
After the match, RJ Mahvash took to Instagram and commended the 34-year-old’s performance against reigning champions through an Instagram story. Putting up a picture of her with Chahal, she wrote, "What a talented man! Highest wicket-taker of IPL for a reason! Asambhav!"
Punjab defended the lowest total in history of IPL
With the successful defense against KKR, PBKS broke into record books as the team to defend the lowest total in IPL history. Before this game, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were holding the feat as they contained Punjab on 92 while saving 116 in Durban in the 2009 edition of the league. With their latest win, Punjab are now on top four of the points table with four wins and two losses in six outings.
PBKS will next square off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 18. Punjab have an edge over Bengaluru when it comes to head-to-head records. In 33 contests, Kings have won 17 games while RCB have bagged 16 matches.
