Australia Legends and England Legends will take on each other in the 20th match of RSWS 2 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. With the tournament into its business end, every game from here makes a difference in who qualifies for the knockouts. Australia Legends sit at the fourth position in the points table having won two games. On the other hand, England Legends are currently in the eighth position with no wins against their name. So, it’s going to be interesting to see if England Legends spoil Australia Legends' chances by beating them or the Shane Watson-led team makes it through.

Pitch Report

The 22-yards strip usually offers a good balance between the bat and the ball. Two IPL and eight CLT20 games have been played at this venue and only once a team has crossed 200 here. Apart from that, from time to time, the pitch offers some assistance to the pacers as well as the spinners. In all, it is a good sporting wicket, with something there for everyone to exploit.

Team Analysis

Australia Legends

Shane Watson-led Australia Legends have got things back on track after losing their first encounter. They defeated West Indies Legends in their last match by a fair margin. Shane Watson was the man for Australia Legends as the batter smashed a 50-ball 88. Alex Doolan also chipped in with a quickfire 56. Meanwhile, Ben Dunk and Callum Ferguson finished things off for Australia Legends. With the ball, Bryce McGain and Dirk Nannes did the damage as the two bagged five wickets together. Now, as Australia Legends get ready to face England Legends, they will look to solidify their position with the tournament in its business end.

Shane Watson (C), Ben Dunk, Brad Hodge, Alex Doolan, Stuart Clark, Brad Haddin, Bryce McGain, Brett Lee, Cameron White, George Horlin, Callum Ferguson, John Hastings, Dirk Nannes, Jason Krejza, Nathan Reardon, and Chadd Sayers.

England Legends

Ian Bell-led England Legends are yet to get a win in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series. They have been defeated by Sri Lanka Legends, West Indies Legends, and India Legends. Now, they will have the challenge of facing Australia Legends who look in good nick having won two games on the trot. England Legends seem to be facing issues with both bat and ball. While they did well against West Indies Legends with the bat, it did not augur too well for the Ian Bell-led team against India Legends. None of the England Legends batters seemed to trouble India Legends. Phil Mustard did put in some effort but it wasn’t enough. Now, with the tournament into its business end, England Legends need to sort their issues and register wins by massive margins in order to progress to the next stage.

Match Prediction

Australia Legends have the momentum plus the team to beat England Legends. Meanwhile, Ian Bell-led team lacks everything required to take down Australia Legends.
