The summit clash of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is being played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. While Mumbai Indians Women and Delhi Capitals Women took on each other to decide who lifts that elusive trophy, the Indians had special guests in attendance to cheer for them.

The Men’s team of the Mumbai Indians were seen cheering for their women’s team. Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Tilak Verma were spotted in the stands. Meanwhile, former Mumbai Indians player Sachin Tendulkar was also spotted in the stands. The players did not have to go disappointed as Mumbai Indians Women defeated DC Women to lift the trophy in the inaugural edition of the tournament. While Nat Sciver-Brunt played a match-winning knock of 60* (55), Hayley Matthews (3/5) starred with the ball in hand.

"It was very special. Glad I was able to stick it out when the pressure was on. I was trying to get quite tough and Harman and Melie took the pressure off me. I knew if I stayed till the end we'd get through. We gave away too many in the final 3-4 overs, but it made the game interesting. (Winning the trophy) It means everything, coming together with a special group of girls with the Mumbai Indians, really special moment," said Nat Sciver post the win.
