Rajasthan Royals had their best-ever season in 2022 after
winning the title in 2008. They came second in the points table and then
emerged as the runner-up. They had plenty of positives and few negatives as well,
which hurt their chances in crucial situations. As a result, they decided to
release nine players ahead of the 2023 auction.

Sanju Samson will continue to lead the team, while Jos
Buttler, Trent Boult, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Yuzvendra Chahal are key players in the
team. However, they will need to clear their middle-order trouble in the auction.
They have 16 players in the current squad and need to secure the services of the remaining
nine players.
