Ruben Amorim, the Manchester United manager, is currently working with his players in the ongoing pre-season tour to the USA, where they are slated to take on West Ham United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. But, not all of the Manchester United players have travelled with the squad to the USA, with names like Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrrell Malacia being outcast by the manager ahead of the new season.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of these players at Manchester United, Ruben Amorim has made a big statement about what might happen to them since they haven’t been able to find potential suitors yet. With the ongoing summer transfer window set to close on September 1, there is enough time to sell these players for Manchester United, but with the passing days, their price is expected to drop.

With that in mind, Amorim stated that if the likes of Garnacho, Antony, Sancho, and Malacia don’t fetch a specific number for Manchester United in the transfer market, then they will be brought back into the fold. He was quoted as saying, as per BBC Sport, “[Technical Director] Jason [Wilcox], [Chief Executive] Omar Berrada and the club have a number for these players. If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that.”

I'm ready to receive the players if they aren't sold, says Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim also alluded to how Manchester United are allowing these players to have time to think and to decide their future whether with the club or elsewhere in the ongoing summer transfer window, but at the valuation they deem fit for each one of them. He further remarked, “I understand the clubs are waiting for the last minute but they can have a surprise. I'm ready to receive the players.”

After taking on West Ham United in the pre-season tour to the USA, Manchester United will compete against Bournemouth and Everton.
