India’s Sania Mirza is having a dream season in her last Grand Slam of her career. Although the star player might be out of the Women’s doubles along with her partner Anna Danilina, Mirza is through to the semifinals along with her mixed doubles partner Rohan Bopanna.
The mixed doubles pair of Mirza-Bopanna started with a win over J. Fourlis and L. Saville to progress into Round 2. The Indian duo then beat Japanese-Uruguayan pair to advance into the quarterfinals. Then luck favoured the duo as they received a walkover to enter the semifinal. The Indian duo will now play D. Krawczyk and N. Skupski in the semifinal on January 25 (Wednesday) at the Margaret Court Arena.
