Spanish footballer Cesc Fabregas & former Argentina player Sergio Aguero has come out to defend football great Lionel Messi. Notably, the Argentine star was claimed of disrespecting the Mexico jersey in the dressing room post the side’s 2-0 win.

A video footage of the Argentina team celebrating their victory over Mexico in FIFA World Cup 2022 fixture went viral, after which several fans noticed Messi opening his shoes with the opponent jersey on the ground. This footage grabbed a lot of limelight with Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez too leaving a comment, threatening the Argentina captain.

“Just as I respect Argentina, you have to respect Mexico!! I’m not talking about the country (Argentina) I’m talking about Messi because of the blowjob he gave”, Canelo Alvarez’s tweet translated to.

The 35-year-old Fabregas has now responded to the boxer’s comment stating, “You neither know the person, nor do you understand how a locker room works or what happens after a game. ALL t-shirts, even the ones we wear ourselves, go on the floor and are washed afterwards. And more when you celebrate an important victory”.

Not only this, former Argentina star player Sergio Aguero also took to Twitter to share his thought after the boxer threatened Messi for this gesture. “I admired you Mr. Canelo. But what he did today with Messi was a low blow. And you know better than anyone that this is unfair. Disqualified”, Aguero wrote.
