South African batsman David Miller has announced his engagement with girlfriend Camilla Harris via an Instagram post. Miller, who plays for Gujarat Titans in the IPL, proposed to his girlfriend on a beach in Zimbabwe . The Proteas star, who is renowned for his explosive hitting and quick reflexes in the field, revealed his gentler side when he proposed to Camilla. In a secluded and special setting, the couple got engaged at the picturesque Mpala Jena in Zimbabwe.

He posted several pictures of the lovely ceremony on his official Instagram account, with the caption, “She said YES!💍❤️Camilla Miller, has a nice ring to it right?”. In the images, the couple can be seen posing in front of the scenic beach, hugging and kissing each other. He also posted a picture of the engagement ring, which he used for the proposal in his fiancee’s hand.
Camilla posted images of the ceremony on her own handle too, with the caption, “Here is to a lifetime together with my soul mate♥️ You make me so incredibly happy! I love you 💍 #isaidyes💍”
Several big names in cricket, including Miller’s teammates were quick to congratulate him on his engagement. India’s Shubman Gill, Rahul Tewatia and Hardik Pandya commented on the post with heart emojis. Retired cricketer Kevin Pietersen wished him under the post too.
The batsman is currently resting after a hectic schedule which concluded with the Lanka Premier League on August 17. Hence, he is not part of the T20I series against Australia. However, he is expected to be back for the ODI leg against the Aussies, and is expected to play a big role for the Proteas at the World Cup, considering his records in Indian conditions.
