After Shreyas Iyer got ruled out of the ongoing three-match ODI series against England, there were obvious doubts of his participation in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The star Indian batsman suffered shoulder dislocation while fielding in the first ODI on Tuesday. However, an official statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to give official statement.

Seeing his injury during the match, commentators spoke on him being out of action for 4-6 weeks minimum. Reports after the scans confirmed a tear, which might force him to go for a surgery, thus being out of action for a little longer, along with IPL 2021.
