Just a week after playing the final of IPL 2025 with Punjab Kings, Shreyas Iyer is now into the final of another tournament as captain. In the semi-final of the T20 Mumbai 2025 at Wankhede Stadium on June 10, Iyer-led Sobo Mumbai Falcons defeated NaMo Bandra Blasters by five wickets to enter the final of the tournament. Now, they will face Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals in the title clash at the same ground on June 12.
Talking about the match, coming to bat first after losing the toss, NaMo Bandra Blaster were bowled out for 130 runs after the end of their 20 overs. Dhrumil Matkar top scored with 34(30) runs while skipper Akash Anand also contributed with 31(28) runs followed by a quickfire 23(13) runs by Sagarr Chhabriaa. Apart from that none of the other batter could play a big knock as Bandra were restricted at 130 runs. For Falcons, Akash Parkar took three wickets, Siddharth Raut took two, while Vinayak Bhoir and Yash Dicholkar scalped a wicket each.
Ishan Mulchandani scored unbeaten as SoBo Mumbai Falcons register convincing win
Chasing the winning target, SoBo Mumbai Falcons got a flying start as Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Ishan Mulchandani added 30 runs for the first wicket in the first three overs. Raghuvanshi got out after scoring 27(14) runs. After that, Falcons went on to lose quick wickets and were reduced to 78/4 in 8.5 overs. After that, Muchandani and Akash Parkar added 52 runs for the fifth wicket.
Parkar got out after scoring 32 runs off 20 balls while Ishan Mulchandani remained unbeaten on 52*(34) runs hitting two fours and three sixes as SoBo Mumbai Falcons chased the target in 14.4 overs. For NaMo Bandra Blasters, Sagarr Chhabriaa took two scalps while Vikrant Auti, Dhrumil Matkar and Karsh Kothari scalped a wicket each.
