Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored a fighting fifty as Chennai Super Kings posted a competitive total while batting first against Mumbai Indians in match number 38 of IPL 2025 at Wankhede Stadium. Coming to bat first after losing the toss, CSK didn’t get a good start as they were reduced to 63/3 after eight overs. After that, Jadeja took charge of the innings along with Shivam Dube.
Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube put up a partnership of 79 runs as CSK were now looking set to cross the 170–run mark. Dube got out after scoring 50 runs off 32 balls hitting two fours and four sixes, while Jadeja remained unbeaten on 53*(35) runs with four fours and two sixes and CSK posted 176 runs losing five wickets in their 20 overs. For MI, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets, while Mitchell Santner, Ashwani Kumar and Deepak Chahar scalped a wicket each.

Ravindra Jadeja got a steady start to his innings but went on to recover it well and completed his half-century in 34 balls. Not only with the bat, but Jadeja alsop struck with the ball and gave CSK a first breakthrough in his very first over as CSK were defending a target.
Chasing the winning target, MI got a great start as Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton added 63 runs for the first wicket in 6.4 overs. Rickelton got out after scoring 24(19) runs, while Rohit completed his first 50 of the season and guiding MI to another win with Suryakumar Yadav at the crease.
