Laura Woods, the presenter for TNT Sports, was left in “real fear” after a female stalker named Harneet Kaur, who has autism, harassed her with vile online messages and unwanted home deliveries for over two years. Last Friday, the judge Talog Davies at the Wolverhampton Crown Court gave her a sentence of 14 months for her tormenting actions.

In his final decision, the judge noted that Kaur would have known the impact she was having on Woods. The barrister for the female stalker claimed that her actions were down to autistic traits like “obsession and compulsion,” but the judge rubbished the arguments altogether.

During the case hearing, the prosecutor, Antonie Muller, stated that the campaign from Harneet Kaur, a Liverpool fan, against Laura Woods started in June of 2021 when she arranged a delivery of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to her London home through Just Eat. He remarked that her client Laura Woods, who had appreciated the gesture, didn’t realise that this was the start of a campaign against her.

Shortly afterward, Woods received a Just Eat order from Starbucks, along with a chocolate lollipop bearing the message, “from your secret admirer and I’m not crazy”. But then, things turned “darker” for her, with tons of vile messages being sent by Kaur, using the name “Krazy Harns” online, including one, which read, “'former prostitute who slept herself into a job”.

In her impact statement, Laura Woods revealed that she was threatened by Harneet Kaur to kidnap and kill her dog, along with a Bible and a sexual health testing kit being sent to her house. The sick campaign from Harneet Kaur went on till September 2023, which left her with “real fear” about the defendant getting close to her.

Laura Woods currently suffers from anxiety, and she is forced to have increased security around her at home and work.
