With just a day in the T20 World Cup 2024, the tournament is already amid controversy.

According to a report published by Newswire.ik, Sri Lanka, Ireland and South Africa have encountered several logistical issues. The three teams, which are stationed in Florida, have to travel a significant distance till New York to play their matches. These logistical problems have caused frustration among the teams as well as their fans and are now holding the International Cricket Council (ICC) accountable for it.

This comes after both Sri Lanka and Ireland cricket teams experienced extended delays in their travel arrangements during their warm-up matches in Florida. Furthermore, it is being reported that Sri Lankan cricket team in particular had to cancel one of their training sessions having a delay of over seven hours of their charter flight. All these issued have piled up the teams' frustration and have reportedly filed complaint to the ICC.
