After the disappointing losses in the two WT20Is played against India, the stand-in captain of the England women's team Tammy Beaumont urges her team to go all guns blazing in the next match to emerge victorious at The Oval in London. She wants her team to be at their absolute best in the upcoming matches of the WT20I sereis after what has happened in the earlier matches. England have been facing many problems as their captain Nat Sciver-Brunt got ruled out of the third WT20I due to a groin injury and her availability for the upcoming matches remains a question mark.
Tammy Beaumont will be leading the side till the result of Nat Sciver-Brunt’s scans will be out and she is looking to avoid a major upset for England and to make a huge turnaround in the series. Sciver-Brunt got injured during the second match and had to step out of the field because of it. The English stand-in captain made a statement after the defeat, saying that, "the worst thing we could do right now is panic. We certainly believe we can come back and win, and we'll come out fighting."
Tammy Beaumont will be leading the English side in the Third T20
Tammy Beaumont also said that the team are not in ideal position right now as their captain Nat Sciver-Brunt and their leading batter Heather Knight are injured and out of the mix. Heather Knight, who was their previous captain, faced an unexpected hamstring injury which put her out of the equation for the entire white-ball series against India.
If England were to lose against India at The Oval, it would mark the Indian women cricket team’s first-ever T20I series victory on English soil. England will be hoping to avoid the defeat in the third match to keep their hopes alive in the series. It will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming fixtures between the two teams and who will emerge victorious in the series.
