The IPL 2023 Mini-Auction is just a day away. The much-awaited auction is scheduled to take place on December 23, 2022 in Kochi where 405 players to go under the hammer. Just a day prior to the event, there is a big news doing the rounds.
Star England cricketer has pulled out of the IPL 2023 Auction. This is not Ben Stokes, Joe Root or Sam Curran. Days after becoming England’s youngest debutant in Test cricket, Rehan Ahmed who was being touted as one of the most lucrative player the franchises will eye for, has reportedly pulled out of the IPL Auction to focus on red-ball cricket.

“It would be great. It would be awesome if he did. I’ve been involved with the IPL a couple of times so sometimes it works out for guys and sometimes it doesn’t. Why not?,” Brendon McCullum had said about Rehan Ahmed while talking in BBC Test Match Special.
It is being further speculated that his decision comes after McCullum’s comments.
Several other England cricketers in Sam Billings, Chris Woakes and Alex Hales have pulled out of the tournament. Meanwhile, Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Sam Curran are the big names who will go under the hammer on December 23 at the IPL 2023 Mini Auction.
