Amidst the ongoing Test series in England, Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has found himself in legal trouble as a sports agency and a former player from Sunrisers Hyderabad filed a petition against him. The petition was filed to seek over INR 5 crore of unpaid dues from the Indian cricketer. As reported by India Today, Nitish Kumar Reddy ended his term with the agency named Square The One Private Limited, which is owned by a former SRH player.

The relationship between Reddy and the agency ended after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under in January 2025. Reportedly, Reddy signed a deal with the manager of another Indian cricketer who was also a part of the squad during the Australian tour. Now, The Square One has signed a petition against Reddy under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, alleging breach of the management agreement and unpayment of dues.

Nitish Kumar Reddy refused to pay money, claiming he secured the deals himself: Sources

Square The One has represented Nitish Kumar Reddy since 2021, even when he wasn’t a very popular name in the IPL. The agency claimed that they facilitated several brand endorsements and commercial partnerships during their four-year partnership with the SRH all-rounder. However, Reddy said that he bought all the brands himself and refused to pay any money to the agency.

“Ninety percent of such disputes do not reach court and are resolved privately. But in this case, Nitish refused to pay any money and claimed he had secured the deals himself,” a source was quoted as saying by India Today.

Talking about Nitish Kumar Reddy, he was a part of the Indian squad for the ongoing Test series in England. However, he suffered a knee injury ahead of the fourth Test and was ruled out of the squad for remaining two matches.
